Armored Roofing Co. Inc. has been in business since 1955. Although Armored Roofing is a small business, they are capable of large projects. The company have been in the same physical location since 1974 at 4104 Old Iowa Park Road, Wichita Falls, TX 76305. Over the years some things have changed, but one thing that remains the same is that Armored Roofing always puts its customers' needs above everything else. We are local people, helping our neighbors, friends, and family to protect their investments. Once you are a customer, you become a friend for life.
Armored Roofing was formed by Mr. Carrol Anderson, N.C. Grantham, and Ted Anderson. Ted Anderson made Armored Roofing a huge success in his time with the company. He secured many projects and put Armored Roofing on the map. Ted retired from Armored Roofing in 1993.
In 1976, Richard Koetter was hired on with Armored Roofing. He started as a general laborer and made his way up the ladder through the business. He was able to experience each position that is held in the company. In 1993, Richard became President of Armored Roofing. Richard currently holds the title of President of Armored Roofing, and he continues to be an active managing partner in the company.
Richard has been a board member, on various boards of Roofing Contractors Association of Texas, for over 25 years. He currently holds the President position on the Roofing Contractors Association of Texas Board of Directors. Richard received the Curtis Blackwell Memorial Award in 2015, from Roofing Contractors Association of Texas, for his many years of dedication to the Roofing Industry. His knowledge and experience in roofing has benefited Armored Roofing in securing major contracts over the years. Richard continues to provide commercial and residential estimates on a daily basis. He enjoys learning about new products and how they can best serve the customers.
Freddie Rangel started with Armored Roofing in 1988, as a general laborer. He worked his way into a foreman position, that later landed him in estimating. In 2005, Freddie decided it was time to make Armored Roofing his permanent home and became Vice President. He continues to be an active managing partner in the company as well as completing estimates daily. Freddie is always learning new information to stay relevant and current with the roofing industry. Roofing is his passion, and he cares about making sure that each customer is satisfied with their end product.
Katie Koetter Clymer grew up in Armored Roofing throughout the years. She started with the company in 2011 as a secretary. She quickly picked up the office manager role and continued to want to learn more. Over the years she has implemented new and up to date procedures to help the company grow. In 2018, Katie started providing residential estimates to homeowners in the area. As of 2022, Katie is now a managing partner and has earned a new title of Secretary/Treasurer to add to the many others she continues to maintain. She continues to learn all systems of roofing, old and new and is eager to broaden her knowledge of the roofing industry.
